Mr. Norm Noseworthy, Executive Vice President/Strategic Advisor
Mr. Noseworthy brings over 45 years of experience to his position. He is responsible for the maintenance of all aircraft and equipment owned and operated by Universal Helicopters. He also oversees the design and implementation of all maintenance schedules, maintenance systems, stores control, purchasing and parts supply for the company.
Mr. Noseworthy is currently on the Advisory Committee of the College of the North Atlantic and was awarded the Earl Blakney/Avial Award in 2001 for Outstanding Performance in the Aviation Industry.
Mr. Shane Cyr, President and CEO
Mr. Cyr has been working in helicopter aviation since 1996 and joined Universal Helicopters in 2015, having worked throughout Canada, Taiwan, Peru, Brazil and Australia, servicing clients in both onshore and the offshore helicopter markets.
Mr. Cyr started out as a ground operations worker in the helicopter logging industry of British Columbia, working through the ranks and attaining positions of ever more responsibility throughout his career, with over 15 years of management experience.
Currently serving on the Board of Directors of Universal Helicopters and HAC (Helicopter Association of Canada), Mr. Cyr holds a Bachelor’s degree from Vancouver Island University and a Masters of Business Administration from Sydney University in Australia.
Mr. Norm Noseworthy, Strategic Advisor
Mr. Noseworthy joined Universal Helicopters in 1967 and work his way through the ranks to become the Executive Vice-President and Director of Maintenance for both UHNL and NASL before taking on his current roll as Strategic Advisor. He was a partner and a member of the Board of Directors for both companies.
He has extensive experience in field and major maintenance in light and heavy helicopters working throughout Canada, India, Thailand, Brazil, Venezuela and Ireland.
Norm was one of the founding members and served on the Board of Directors for the Atlantic Region Aircraft Maintenance Association and was the chair of the Advisory Committee for the College of the North Atlantic Aircraft Maintenance Training Programs. Mr. Noseworthy was awarded the Earl Blakney/Avial Award in 2001 for Outstanding Performance in the Aviation Industry.
With an aviation career spanning decades Norm has proven abilities in effective communications and negotiating with manufactures and suppliers.
Mr. Corey Taylor, Vice President of Business Development
Mr. Taylor brings almost 30 years' of aviation experience to the company, both as a pilot and having held most of the regulated positions an aviation operator requires. On top of his flying experience he has extensive project management expertise gained in several countries.
With the safe delivery of helicopter services the platform from which Mr. Taylor pursues opportunities around the World, Universal Helicopters believes that the the service we provide is what sets our company apart from our competitors.
In addition to his roles within the company, Mr. Taylor has chaired the Oil & Gas and Safety Committees of the Helicopter Association of Canada, while serving on the Boards of several Industry associations.
Mr. Marc Schoenrank, Vice President of Safety and Quality
Marc Schoenrank brings a broad experience in the aviation industry and an extensive safety background. Marc came to helicopter aviation after starting a career in back country commercial guiding and risk management. The experience as a risk manager laid the foundation for his shift to helicopter aviation and he qualified for his commercial helicopter pilot’s license in 2006. Marc has held progressive positions in management since joining the helicopter industry including the Director of Quality and Safety and the Vice President of Business Development.
Laurie Skinner, Chief Financial Officer
Laurie Skinner brings 20 years experience in the accounting profession, having begun her career with Vector Aerospace her current role as Chief Financial Officer brought Laurie back to aviation. With more than 20 years in the accounting profession, Laurie has taken on increasingly senior roles in organizations as diverse as government, property management and development, and telecommunications.
