Universal Helicopters Holdings LP (Universal Helicopters) currently operates as Universal Helicopters Newfoundland and Labrador LP, Lakelse Air LTD, and has 49% ownership of South Coast Helicopters. Currently operating 35 aircraft from 12 bases throughout Canada and the United States, Universal Helicopters has nearly doubled in size since 2018 and is a leader in safe modern helicopter services. Bases of operation include British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, California, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Louisiana, with regular service extending to Alaska, the Ungava Peninsula and the High Arctic. Aircraft include the Bell 205A++, Bell 212, Bell 407, Bell 206B, Bell 206L4, Bell 206LR, Airbus AS350B3e, Airbus AS350B2, Airbus AS350B2(SD2), Airbus AS350BA, and Airbus AS355N.
Universal Helicopters began operations 1963 and has acquired a vast amount of experience providing specialty helicopter services in austere and remote areas for 56 years. Our personnel have valuable managerial and field experience in all facets of the helicopter industry with a wealth of experience in mineral exploration, search and rescue, fire suppression, aerial construction, seismic, tourism, and film work.
